| Shuri Castle which was a symbolic existence of Ryukyu Kingdom and was also
the king's castle where a feudal lord usually resides. It is surmised that Shuri Castle was built at the end time of the 14th century, destruction by fire and reconstruction are repeated after that several times, and it has continued up to now. It was burned down by the latest destruction by fire by Battle of Okinawa in World War II. Now, there are not only Japan but many visitors from Taiwan, China, etc. as a sightseeing spot in Okinawa.
