| Sapporo Station which it is an arrival-and-departure station of the train
to various parts of Hokkaido, and is also a central station in Hokkaido.
The history of Sapporo Station was old and it opened it as Sapporo railroad depot in 1880 (Meiji 13). The present station building is reached through extension and alteration of a station building after that. Since the station building at the time of the 3rd (1908) generation is exhibited by Historical Village of Hokkaido, I would like to look at it especially also here. Present Sapporo Station has achieved not only the arrival and departure of a train but the function as a big complex facility. JR Tower Hotel Japan Airlines Sapporo linking directly to a station, Daimaru Sapporo of a department store, Sapporo STELLA Place, etc. have, and it has become an institution which can fully enjoy at least Sapporo Station but.
