Sightseeing Guide
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, one of the main tourist spots in Taipei.
The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a large facility built in 1980 to honor Chiang Kai-shek, the first president of the Republic of China. The uniquely shaped Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall has a long staircase, from which you can see the view of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park and Liberty Square Gate. There is also a statue of Chiang Kai-shek on the top of the stairs, and depending on the time of day, the guard changing ceremony is held, and it is crowded with many tourists.
There are also shops and rest areas on the ground floor of the facility where you can purchase goods of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, so let's stop by here as well.
