| Yokohama Marine Tower which is one of the tourist resorts representing
Yokohama. Yokohama Marine Tower commemorated the opening-of-a-port centennial in 1961, and was built as a lighthouse representing Yokohama. The function as a lighthouse was stopped after that in 2008, and the business as a tourist resort was also stopped. Resumption of operating of the (operating stop is renewed and carried out on 2006), however May 23, 2009 as part of the commemoration enterprise of the 150th anniversary of the Yokohama opening of a port. Yokohama Marine Tower also has an observatory, can command a whole view of Yokohama Bay Bridge, or Minato Mirai 21, Chinatown, etc., etc., and since it is very scenic, it is famous also as a spot of a night view.
