| The cable car connecting the Karaköy station on the beach and the Beyoğlu station on the hill is Tunel. Tunel is a cable car, but because it runs underground, the categories are classified as subway. For that reason, the old Tunel is recognized as the second oldest opening in the world, next to London as a subway. All two cars can rush through steep hills while coming back and forth in a short section and it is one of the important access of Istanbul.
