Sightseeing Guide
Charles de Gaulle Airport serves as France's largest airport and the primary aerial gateway to Paris. It is named after General Charles de Gaulle, a French hero who served as both a military leader and president. Located on the outskirts of Paris, it is one of Europe's major aviation hubs; it is a vast facility comprising three terminals. Star Alliance carriers (including Japan's ANA) operate out of Terminal 1, while Air France and other airlines (including Japan's JAL) use Terminal 2.
True to Paris's reputation as a city of art, the airport boasts a sophisticated and beautiful design. Extensive use of curved lines allows travelers to experience the stylish atmosphere of Paris the moment they arrive. A particular highlight is the departure lobby in Terminal 2E; the space is so stunning that it hardly feels like an airport, offering a pleasant environment to spend time while waiting for your flight.
